Welcome

The goal of this project is to write a password manager in python, that is fast, convenient and maximal customisable.

The software is in planning state, that means, I am still collecting ideas and suggestions for the project.

If you were always looking for a good password manager, but were unsatisfied with existing solutions, feel free to contribute to the project, either as end user or as developer.

Which features should the project have?

Simple usage: avoid unnecessary steps when creating or viewing entries
Highly customisable: even non-programmers should be able to customise the entry forms, to store any kind of data, and programmers should be able to extend the program easily
Good import / export functions
The copy both function ("stolen" from the program GPass, which seems not to be under development any more): if you need to enter your user name and password somewhere, this function copies first the user name, and after the first paste, replaces the clipboard contents by the password
